Wahraan ran an excellent race on the Flat here on Wednesday and now returns to hurdles from a workable mark of 108. He has produced consistent recent form, carries only 11st and should be suited by a strongly run two miles.

Timurshah’s recent form is respected, but he is now 13lb higher following Monday’s emphatic course-and-distance success. Teed Up is the major danger given his exceptional Galway record.

Sallap arrives chasing a hat-trick and remains open to improvement over this slightly longer trip. She has the strongest recent-progress profile in a very open staying handicap and should be suited by the emphasis on stamina.

This is competitive, so the price must remain sensible.

Saunton Surf looked revitalised when winning on her chase debut at Downpatrick. She travelled and jumped with confidence, and her hurdles form suggests an opening chase mark around this level may underestimate her.

The extended 2m6f should suit and she carries a competitive weight in a race lacking many reliably progressive chasers.

Blood Destiny has the best raw ratings in the race, including an RPR of 157 and a Topspeed figure of 139. He carries top weight, but Paul Townend takes the ride for Willie Mullins and this drop into handicap company could suit.

He is not a huge price, so only play each-way if enhanced terms are available.
